PC players, the question keeps coming up: will GTA 6 come to PC, and when? Here's the honest take, between what's official and what's history and rumor.
Officially: console first
At launch, GTA 6 is exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC version or a date. Any "PC" date circulating is therefore a rumor.
What history suggests
Rockstar typically releases its games on consoles first, then PC:
- GTA V: consoles in 2013, PC in 2015 (~18 months later).
- Red Dead Redemption 2: consoles in 2018, PC ~1 year later.
For GTA 6, a gap of several months to about a year after November 19, 2026 is plausible. Some rumors point to early 2027, but nothing is confirmed — take it with a grain of salt.
Wait or play at launch?
If you want to experience GTA 6 at release, you'll need a console: the PC version could arrive much later, with no guaranteed date. The PS5 Slim remains the simplest way not to wait.
