Spawning a supercar, maxing your wanted level, turning the world upside down — GTA cheat codes are a series tradition. So will they return in GTA 6? Here's what Rockstar has said, what history tells us, and what to realistically expect when the game launches on November 19, 2026.
The GTA cheat legacy
Cheats have been part of Grand Theft Auto since the beginning: weapons, health and armor, vehicle spawns, weather and wanted-level tweaks, plus chaotic "fun" cheats. In recent games you enter them with controller button combinations, and some versions added an in-game phone method. GTA 6 will almost certainly carry the tradition forward.
What to expect in GTA 6
Based on the series, expect single-player cheats covering:
- Health, armor and weapons
- Vehicle and aircraft spawns
- Wanted-level up or down
- Weather and world modifiers
- Movement and "fun" cheats
The exact codes and input method won't be known until launch (or shortly after), when players and Rockstar start sharing them.
